Project Statement

A small Milanese apartment transformed into a large painting to live inside.

On Via Pavia 10, in the heart of the Navigli district, the unusual interior height made it possible to develop the space across multiple levels. A modest floor area becomes an articulated, strongly identity-driven home, where architecture, colour, light and decorated surfaces build a single continuous narrative — not a sequence of rooms, but a visual and emotional journey.

The Living Room

The wall as a living element

The wallcoverings are not decoration but narrative surfaces: they alter the perception of space and amplify its depth. In the living room, a large landscape in blue and pearl-grey tones wraps the conversation area, crossed by delicate gold presences.

The blue sofa, the soft armchair and the dark rug carry the story forward chromatically, turning the room into a balanced, immersive composition.

Industrial Memory

The city's mark: the OFFICINA sign

Above the mezzanine dominates the great “OFFICINA” sign, salvaged during the demolition of an old mechanical workshop and reintroduced into a new context through an act of adaptive reuse.

Its character converses with the metal structures, the black kitchen elements and the suspended light fixtures. The intense yellow of the seat beneath the mezzanine picks up its details, creating a bold contrast against the depth of the blue.

The Bedroom

Golden circles and birds in flight

The blue runs through the entire home and accompanies the passage toward the sleeping area. Here, a wall decorated with large golden circles and figures of birds in flight suggests lightness, movement and openness.

The composition ideally expands the boundaries of a compact room, while the gold accents become luminous signals guiding the eye along the path.

“Entering the bathroom means leaving the domestic space behind to live a truly immersive experience.”

The Bathroom

A total immersion

Walls, niches and shower surfaces are entirely wrapped in an undersea landscape. Jellyfish, fish, corals and marine creatures, brought to life by a refined pen line, move through a universe of deep blues and sudden bursts of colour.

The covering erases the perception of boundaries: the walls seem to dissolve and the room becomes a small marine depth, enveloping and unexpected. Mirrors and glass surfaces multiply the images and heighten the sensation of being surrounded by water.
